Very refreshing aroma, woody and wintergreen, almost identical to Birch. Use with caution, the EO is approximately 99% salicylate, the main ingredient in aspirin (irritant, sensitizing).  Analgesic, astringent, carminative, diuretic, stimulant, anodyne, anti-rheumatic, antispasmodic, antiseptic, aromatic, emmenagogue. Never use during Pregancy!!!!! Can be  used in massage oils, potpourri, scent, air fresheners, body fragrance, perfume oils, aromatherapy products, bath oils, towel scenting, linen sprays, and uses where this scent may be desired  Many aromatherapists try to stay away from this oil.  has been used to for bloody wounds, applied to dog bites, snakebites, and insect bites. This oil can also be used in a poultice, good for boils, swellings, ulcers, old sores. Methyl salicylate has been incorporated into liniments and ointments for muscular skeletal problems.
