Mounted Stamps - Rating Chart
A+ means a set is in mint condition. Possibly never used. Absolutely no staining on the wood or rubber.
A or A- means a set is in good condition. A gently used stamp set.
B means a set has been used some and there is minimal staining on wood and/or rubber.
C means a set has been used quite a bit. Probably someone's favorite set. Staining is evident on the wood and/or rubber.
Note: Staining on the wood absolutely does not affect the stamped image. Staining on the rubber usually does not affect image especially if stamped in the same color as the stain (i.e. black).
