'Seaside Garden Sampler' is a counted cross stitch kit from The Victoria Sampler. The pattern and embellishments pack are from The Victoria Sampler and we are providing the linen (cut to size and the sides are serged) so you will be able to start stitching this gorgeous design as soon as you receive it. All my kits and patterns are brand new and come from a smoke-free environment. The model was stitched on #28 count linen using various plies of floss and special threads over two threads of linen. The stitch count of this design is 30w x 115h and the approximate design size is 2.1"w x 8.2"h. We include the accessory pack with the pattern. It contains everything that you need to stitch this design (except for the fabric). The accessory pack includes: all the overdyed silk, cotton and silk flosses used in the sampler, all the Kreiniks, all the beads, a charm and the needles. This is an original design by Thea Dueck, and as you can see she is a beautiful designer. This is the seventh design in her 'Victorian Garden' series. The directions are given line by line with excellent detail. She also considers this design a 'Learning Sampler', which means she considers this sampler as perfect for the beginner through intermediate specialty stitcher. The stitches you will be stitching in this sampler are French Knots, Backstitches, Satin Stitches, some Pulled Thread Bands, Fern Stitches, Eyelet Stitches, and cross stitches over one fabric thread for that petit point look! Along with explaining how to do all the stitches are wonderful diagrams to follow. It is almost like getting a free class with the pattern. She is a terrific teacher in addition to being one of the best designers and stitchers. I have not stitched all the stitches in her patterns, but I hope to stitch some of her designs when I can find the time. I have total confidence that with her directions I will be able to stitch these stitches and be proud of myself when I am done. If I can try it, so can you. And it is still appropriate for the skilled stitcher as it does have all those stitches and is a beautiful design. She tells a little story at the beginning of the chart all about the Seaside Garden and all the parts of the sampler. Have fun and enjoy learning some new stitches while spending some time in this delightful Seaside Garden. Happy Stitching, From Nancy & Elisabeth at Stitches, Etc.
