*My name is Silvia Philippsohn, born in Argentina, immigrated to Canada in the early 80’s, I am an avid artist who loves to explore various media and painting techniques. My passion for art has led me to experiment in other artistic fields such as graphic design, sculpture, pottery and jewellery design.
I started to learn art since my childhood and never stopped since then.
I am graduated from the Ottawa School of Art and had attended numerous workshops and art classes throughout the years. I am a member of the Richmond Hill Group of Artists and carries on exploring my artistic talents through continuous art education.
I participated in juries shows, group shows and solo shows in Canada.
I paint because I can describe with vivid colours realistic sceneries of landscape, still life and floral. Painting and art for me is my meditation where I can submerge myself and try to paint with my soul and mix beautiful colours that captures the viewer’s eye.
