You liked these so much that I bought a couple more. It’s a feathered hat with a comb and a bit of a veil. I think it looks very posh while being really lightweight. You can attach it with the comb under the feathers or there is also an elastic band if you prefer that manner of wearing it. Either way I think you will be the envy at your gathering with this truly unique headpiece. Just a bit of a note, the tulle veil is not perfect but that doesn’t detract at all from the hat.
I am a red hatter too, with the Myakka River Red Hatters in Port Charlotte, Florida. . .I am always looking for items that I can get inexpensively to pass on to my red hat sisters. I list things so inexpensively that sometimes I don’t make any money on the items. I do this for fun and to pay for a trip to the beauty salon once every three weeks (a luxury for any of us these days).
All items come from a smoke free/pet free home.
All items MUST be paid for within 7 days of the end of bidding unless otherwise arranged with seller. If I don’t hear from you within the 7 days then I’ve got to report to eBay that I’ve had a non-paying bidder in order to get my fees and commissions refunded because if you don’t pay, I am charged anyway. Once it’s determined that the buyer is NOT going to pay for an item, I then add their user name to a blocked bidder list and they are unable to bid on any of my items again. Non paying bidders make it difficult for everyone, often pushing out legitimate bidders by over bidding on an item and then not paying.
Paypal Payment using Paypal is preferred but I will accept cheques or money orders if you email me that your intention is to send a cheque or money order and you assure me that you will get it in the post within 48 hours of the end of bidding. I’ve recently waited two weeks for the delivery of a cheque that I had no idea was coming. As a result I had already started a non-payment with eBay which I HATE doing. Of course I cannot ship items until cheques have cleared the bank. Of course I cannot ship items until cheques have cleared the bank. This normally takes 5-7 days so if you don’t mind waiting, by all means send me a cheque.
Postage costs include handling, packing materials, gasoline to get to the post office and whatever other shipping costs I incur. I am happy to discount shipping on multiple items. Please don’t come back to me after you’ve purchased something and complain about the costs. I simply pass along my costs to the consumer. I don’t set the USPS rates and please remember I had to pay shipping to get them to me in the first place. When possible all items are shipped within 48 hours of my having received clear payment. If you need the item by a certain time, please let me know and I will get back to you with the price shipping which will cost a bit more but insure delivery when you need it.
Communication is the key. I will work with you if you are unhappy about an item; if you are reasonable; I will be reasonable as well. I’ve had some bad experiences lately that very are close to putting me off selling on eBay all together. One case the item arrived with the customer and she didn’t like it. She then later claimed it was damaged. If for some reason you are not happy with the item, I am happy to refund the cost of the item but unless the item is damaged which in this case it wasn’t, I will NOT refund postage. If you order out of a catalogue and return something you do not like, that company does not refund postage. All I ask is honest, open communication and a chance to make things right if there is a problem. Just for the record 99.4% of my red hat sisters have been happy with their items.
Feedback is very important to eBay sellers. I try to always say something positive when leaving feedback for anyone I have dealings with. If you are happy with your purchase, Please come back and leave feedback. If you are unhappy please contact me before leaving a negative message. My feedback was 100% until this week when I was trying to placate a very unreasonable person. . .needless to say my efforts were in vain and she’s left neutral feedback which is counted as a negative, thus spoiling my perfect score.
