Katie would make such a wonderful addition to your collection. She would also be a great gift. She is not a toy and is recommended for adults or very responsible older child. Meet the Baby Katie is just so darling. She is made of soft vinyl with a jointed cloth body. Her vinyl is so detailed. She came to me as an unpainted Tayla Denise Pratt kit, and now thru the art of reborning, been transformed into a beautiful, lifelike newborn girl. Just look at her new skin tone! And what an expression on her sweet face. She is so very reaslistic especially when laying in a cradle. Katie's Coloring To achieve Katie's new skin tone, she was handpainted using my own special method. Her coloring was done layer by layer using Genesis Heat paints. The color is permanent and will not rub off. She has been blushed and highlighted. Her new complexion goes great with her brown hair. Many, many hours went into her painting. She has veining in her temple, wrist, and ankle areas. Her eyebrows are handpainted. Hair and Lashes Her hair is dark brown. It is hand rooted a few strands at a time using a high quality English mohair. It is very soft and feels so much like a real babies hair. Her hair is sealed from the inside of her head. It can be brushed and styled. You can see her sweet baby scalp peeking thru. She has been given hand applied eyelashes. Hands and Feet Just take a look at her hands and feet. The vinyl is so detailed. She has 3/4 vinyl limbs. She is able to wear all those cute dresses. Each finger and toenail has been given a baby manicure to give them the just clipped look. They are then sealed with a clear varnish that won't yellow Weighting and body The weighting of the baby is so important. You want her to just cuddle right up in your arms. Katie will. She is so soft and very poseable. She has a jointed cloth body(doe Suede). It is a very well made and so soft. It is filled with soft poly fill. I have left her head just a tiny bit floppy. Her head can be gentley turned. She has been weighted in her rearend area with glass beads. She is weighted with sealed sand in her head and limbs. She can be posed in so many cute positions. Eyes Nose and Mouth Katie has had her nose and mouth opened. It is backed with felt for a look of depth. She has the most realistic eyes. They are Victorian blue real brand eyes. Clothing Included with Katie are the following: Darling pink dress with matching panties. This is so dainty and full of ruffles. It also comes with a matching blanket Tee shirt headband Lacey white socks Pamper infant cap She wears preemie sized real baby clothing and wears newborn or size 0-1 shoes.
