Pfaff 1217 in great condition has been completely serviced and runs like new.   The Pfaff 1217 has built in IDT (dual feed) for absolute precise feeding of multiple layers, thick fabrics, plaids and stripes. This is the feature that has made Pfaff famous.  Pfaff, originally an industrial sewing machine manufacturer, put all their industrial R&D into their household machines to create the most durable and dependable machine on the market even today.  The IDT dual feed was developed from the Industrial division, as was the HIGH SPEED rotary hook system. This hook system is the finest made, and is manufactured by the lost wax method, one of the most precise methods of injection molding of it's time. The Pfaff 1217 has 17 built in stitches and is a great workhorse utiltiy machine. The head is all metal and the machine just purrs.  This machine is so heavy duty that it is used by dressmakers and dry cleaning facilities for mending and alterations. The free arm is ultra thin and will accomodate smaller areas than newer Pfaff machines. This machine was manufactured in 1984. There is a small paint chip in the rear of the machine as indicated in photo # 9. Included with this machine: Instruction book (copy), and metal bobbins.
