Thank you for visiting our auction!  All proceeds from our auctions go to support The Network Against Domestic Abuse of North Central Connecticut, Inc.    This auction is for a NEW handmade crocheted afghan blanket.   This is a beautiful blanket made with vibrant colored stripes.  This soft and cozy afghan measures approximately 46" by 60".    This would be a great lap blanket or a child's nap blanket.    All of the items we action are new (with or without tags) and have been donated to our organization from generous local businesses, retailers, and individuals who support our work against domestic abuse.  Clothing items and accessories may have the tags cut or marked to prevent returns to the original retailer.        The Network Against Domestic Abuse of North Central Connecticut, Inc. provides the following services to our community: Crisis Counseling and Support:  The Network operates a confidential hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Assistance includes information, referrals, crisis intervention, and counseling. Emergency Shelter: The Network maintains a 15-bed emergency shelter for women and children involved in a domestic violence crisis.  The counselors assist residents and their children with support, information, and referrals. Counseling and Support Groups:  The Network offers short-term counseling to victims dealing with the effects of domestic violence.  We also offer community support groups that focus on domestic violence and the emotions and self-esteem issues that accompany it. Victim Advocacy: The Network provides assistance with the criminal court procedures and referrals for victims within the Connecticut Family Violence Law, including information regarding protective and restraining orders.   We believe in the right of all persons to live in a save and unthreatening environment.   The mission of the Network Against Domestic Abuse of North Central Connecticut is to reduce the incidence of domestic violence and to assist adult victims and their children to be free from this violence.   The services of the Network are free and available without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, marital status, physical disability, or sexual preference.     When things come apart… we can help!
