The glass is fully protected on each end by top-grade, protective soft silicone that fits tightly around it. Frequently Asked Questions: How can I clean my mVESSEL? mVESSEL were designed to be able to be cleaned and sterilized so that you could keep whatever cargo you wanted in them. mVESSEL are dishwasher safe (top shelf) and can also be cleaned quite easily with soap and water. I recommend that you wash the outside of your mVESSEL with regular soap and water as needed. (We recommend that you clean your mVESSEL upon reciept) What is the cap like? The cap is a soft high grade silicone. It is an inert material that is suited well for this application. It creates a very tight seal using a rib on the cap to lock the seal so tight that it virtually eliminates odors. It comes off easily with a gentle twist and pull. Is the bottom of the mVESSEL glass? Yes! These tubes are created by hand and have a flame sealed glass bottom on each tube. Are mVESSEL unbreakable? No, they are not unbreakable but they are very durable. Remember that these tubes are glass and if you have one in your pocket and you fall they could break and cause injury. They have survived falls up to 15 ft and been taken down to 10ft underwater to test the seal and have had no problems. mVessel cannot be held responsible for an injury as a result of breakage, remember that they are made of glass and glass can break and injure.
