Genuine Handmade Mic mac Basket Up for auction is this beautifuly handcrafted white ash and sweet grass basket.this basket is made on our Indian reserve in eastern Canada ,by one of our elders and is signed at the bottom.She is 72 years old and learned how to make them from her grandmother when she was twelve years old. Basket weaving is an almost a lost art,and once our elders stop making them,there will be no one to continue this tradition...which means these baskets will  become very hard to find thus increasing their value tremendously! This basket measures aprox. 4 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" in diametre with cover.
