After that Auburn played like a different team. Quarterback Reggie Slack threw an eleven-yard pass to Greg Taylor to make it a four-point game at the half. The Tigers continued their intense play in the second half as Slack threw for two TDs and ran for another. Auburn's defense held Ohio State scoreless the rest of the game and the Tigers went on to win 31 to 14.
